Snow on Spring
Hoje é o primeiro dia da primavera no hemisfério norte. Esperava um bom tempo, afinal, praticamente a semana inteira tivemos bom tempo (pelo menos aqui em Tokyo). Mas de quinta feira pra cá, só chove. Chover, ainda vá lá. Mas hoje, nevou. Seja bem vinda primavera.

Primavera sempre inicia novos ciclos na vida de miuta gente. Hoje tivemos a festa de despedida de Lilian, Sheila e Sasa. Lilian acabou de se formar na faculdade de literatura e vai procurar outro trabalho que tenha mais a ver com sua área. Sheila está grávida de 5 meses e precisa se preparar para receber seu 3° filho. Sasa vai ao Brasil depois de 8 anos sem pisar na terra tupiniquim. Desta vez vai falando português e não vai se perder no aeroporto. A festa foi em Gunma, então aproveitei para conhecer a filial lá, que é bem mais clean do que Tokyo.

E assim a vida se renova a cada primavera. Não sei por que tenho essa sensação de "tudo novo" na primavera aqui no Japão. Talvez porque seja março, junto com o fim do ano fiscal e escolar. E por março ser o terceiro mês do ano. No Brasil, a primavera começa no final de setembro; e todo mundo começa a pensar em verão e férias, o que me dava uma sensação de "nossa, o ano acabou".

O que vou renovar este ano: vou fazer o TOEIC (Teste de Inglês para Comunicação Internacional) pela 3° vez, vou para a Tailândia e vou sair de casa amanhã, pois ficar em casa no domingo niguém merece. Claro, também vou cuidar do meu jardim....

Today is Spring's first day and I was hoping for a good weather, because it was sunny in Tokyo almost all this week. But, since thursday the weather got cloudy, then rainy. Rain is still ok, but snow on Spring's first day is ironic.

Spring renews people's life; at least, I have this feeling in Japan. Maybe it because in march end Japanese fiscal and academic year. And maybe it because march is the 3rd month of the year. In Brazil, spings starts by the end of september and people there start to plan things for their summer and vacations, what gives me a sensation of "this year has already gone". Today we had a farewell party for 3 co-workers in Gunma. They used to work with us in the head office, here in Tokyo, but the party was held there. Lilian just graduated on Literature and she's going to look for another job that fits her better than travel agency. Sheila is pregnant. She has 4 more months to get ready to have her 3rd baby. Sasa is going to Brazil tomorrow after 8 years. This time, he can speak portuguese and won't get lodt in the airport.

Things I want to renew this year: do the TOEIC test for the 3rd time, go to Thailand and go out tomorrow, cause being at home on sundays is making me depressive. And of course, I'll take care of my garden...
